Cradle of natural sweet wines in France, the Grands Crus and Vins du Roussillon, have made magnificent progress under the leadership of great winegrowers.
A super complex geology for very varied wines.
This amphitheater is dominated by complicated reliefs to cross and is therefore well separated from the surrounding areas. The soils, resulting from multiple upheavals during the Tertiary and Quaternary eras, are all tangled geological strata, which give their richness and diversity to the great vintages and wines of Roussillon. This diversity has given rise to numerous Appellations d’Origine Contrôlées.
