The Master Level Sud de France - Expertise on the Languedoc-Roussillon vineyard
The “Master-Level Sud de France” program is the first qualifying training program (with exam and official diploma) on Languedoc-Roussillon wines requiring such a high level of knowledge (equivalent to level 2-3 of the WSET: Wine Spirit Education Trust of London).
This is the first official training program launched in 2012 by the Occitanie Region and Matthew Stubbs Master of Wine (Vinécole), the regional Interprofessions, such as the CIVL, the CIVR, InterOc, and the IGP Sud de France.
Educational objective:
Deepen your knowledge of the different types of Languedoc-Roussillon wines.
Operational objectives:
Master wine vocabulary and regional wine cartography
(Languedoc-Roussillon).
Being able to talk about a Languedoc-Roussillon wine and being comfortable in front of a customer
Validation of training:
Master Level South of France Diploma

Be of legal age for wine tasting

from means of transportation during the Renaissance, through the devastating Phylloxera and the resulting politics of change, to the 21st century.
- The location and climate of Languedoc-Roussillon
- The topography, geology and soil typology of Languedoc-Roussillon
INSTRUCTOR
BAPTISTE ROSS-BONNEAU
Winner of the national and international Sommellerie Sud de France Challenge in 2018, Baptiste is a sommelier consultant and ambassador for wines from the south of France. He works in the restaurant business but also with regional appellation unions and large Languedoc estates such as: Gerard Bertrand, Anne de Joyeuse, Maison Ventenac, Borie de Maurel, etc.
Previously, he worked as Head Sommelier at the starred restaurant of the prestigious Hôtel de la Cité in Carcassonne.
